Veils and Custom Applications

What sort of look are you dreaming of?

Ask yourself the following questions:

1.  How do I plan to wear my hair?

2.  Do I want to wear the veil on the top of my head or on the back?

3.  Do I want the veil to look opaque and full or transparent and streamlined?

4.  How many layers of tulle do I want?

5.  What length do I want the tiers to be?

6.  Do I want to wear a blusher?

7.  What color of tulle, edge finish, or embellishments do I want?

8.  Do I want the tulle to be detachable or separate from the headpiece?

Veils can have a variety of looks from very full and opaque to transparent like and streamlined.

There are three basic positions used for placement on the head.  Positioning of your veil may depend on your hair style.

   - Top of the head positioned in line with the ear - this style is sometimes referred to as a "waterfall".

   - On the crown of the head approximately 2" behind the ear line.

   - On the back of the head underneath an updo or above a ponytail - this style is referred to as a back piece

Blusher - A blusher is a layer of tulle covering the face and lifted sometime during the wedding ceremony.  Blushers hang best when positioned on the top of the head and not the back.  Blusher length should not be so long that it tangles with your floral bouquet.
